Scenes from Winter in Idaho

This is a picture of the icicles hanging from our front porch. Sure they were deadly to anyone who tried to visit, but Jason was proud of them, so visitors beware! (Actually, you're all fine now, Brenna and her cousin got thirsty one day while playing and broke them off for water. Yum!)

This photo was taken in front of my parents house, as were the next two. This is the bank my dad has to throw snow up and over to clear his driveway.

These snow blocks were cut from my parents driveway. In the last couple of weeks, the snow has been so cold and heavy that they couldn't shovel, so they cut snow blocks and had to carry them off the driveway.

This is the bank of snow just off my parents patio. (Right in front of the hottub) The banks are so high that if you want to cool off --from the tub-- you can just run out and straight into the snow and it will cover your whole body.

Horray for freeziness! Ok, I AM trying a LITTLE hard to like the weather right now... MEH. I understand the icicle pride though... I too love them :)

And that, my dear cousin, is why I love living in Arizona- not that it isn't cold here, just not freezing like Idaho!

I think that we are all ready for spring! Hopefully mother nature is too!
